Beta 9: List Object appears to be broken on device

When populating string objects at runtime from lines in a List Object, the strings display nothing. This began after I purchased the Unicode runtime, so I don't know if it is related to unicode or MMF Developer in general.

UPDATE: After more testing, it defintely appears to be strings that are populated by the List Object that aren't displaying any text. And I can't roll back to Beta 8 or another game stopping crash is waiting for me there. Any idea when a fix for this could be rolled out?

Sorry for the confusion. ^_^' If I try to set a string object to the line of a List Object, no text is displayed when running on an iOS device. It looks fine in PC debugger. I never use the iOS simulator, so I am not sure about that

mobichan - my app is doing just what you say, setting a string to a line of the list object (actually a random line), and works fine on my iPod touch 4G running iOS 4.3.3 - I'm using Beta9. The list object is pre-populated in the editor rather than loaded from a file.
Perhaps the problem lies elsewhere, eg String not visible, hidden by another object, setting of string is in a different condition that's not activated, List contents not loaded, so empty, etc.
Perhaps upload an example for Clickteam to look at?

I think it has to do with switching to the Unicode MMF2 runtime. The strings and List Object setup worked fine when I was using MMF2 Dev (non-unicode). When I switched over, I downloaded the Unicode version, installed it, then installed Beta9, then ran MMF. I then opened my existing project file and began working on it. When I exported it to xcode, the problem with the string objects began. Before I installed the unicode and beta9 versions, everything was ok. So maybe it is a problem with uing an old file with unicode?

I will send my mfa to Francois just in case.

mobichan - yes, that could be it. I'm not running Unicode, just standard MMF2 with iOS Exporter. Hope Clickteam finds a fix for you soon - I know how frustrating it can be!

Francois: Is there any chance you have looked at the file I sent you or possibly solved this issue? I know you are busy, but I just wanted to make sure my email didn't get lost or overlooked.
    Cheers,

Sorry, I thought Andos answered you.
The problem can only be seen in the unicode version of the iOS runtime. The data is shift in the loading routine, so the strings are not at all correct.
We will soon publish a new beta. But this beta will be for iOS5, and the new XCode (we have to switch sometime). So get ready to buy OS X Lion...

Thanks for the update. I was already forced to upgrade to Lion when I updated my device OS (they aren't recognized by Snow Leopard/Xcode if you are above version 5.0) so I am all ready. I look forward to the next beta.

Does that mean that people will be forced to update to at least iOS 5 to create MMF2 made apps? Wouldn't that mean that iPod Touch 2G and iPhone 3G users can't use MMF2 apps?
