    Question "Shadow effect"?

I am using a half invisible active object that is moving across the frame in a top down view to give the impression of a clouds shadow. But I am trying to come up with some way to make it look like it is changing and "bending" when it goes over objects. A bit like a real shadow would do, even though it does not have to be realistic.
Is it possible to do some kind of effect, maybe with a shader so it appears like a object is "bending" relating to the objects it goes over?

It might be possible with the lens object, or a shader, but it would probably be hard no matter what.

Ouch. There is Shadow extension (paid on one of Klikdiscs) but it won't make the Job AFAIR. In this case it would need to be a custom animation/shader activated for part of the object which collides with particular environment element :< Much simpler to achieve as additional active over character.

Another thing to try possibly would be to create a separate active and layer it accordingly. For example, say you have a tall tree, take the pixels of it, and cut down the width by about half then narrow it towards the top, THEN put your shadow on a different layer than your tree and set the x speed to taste. Should do the trick just probably requires more work.
