Counters and Fixed Values...

Why is it that I cannot pick a counter based on its fixed value? I've tested it, and each counter does indeed have its own fixed value... why is it then that we cannot use it?

This code should in theory work (given that VariableX is equal to one of my counters' fixed values, and the counter is included in Group:Counters):

Pick object with fixed value VariableX
- Group:Counters -> Set Counter to ValueX

Why not allow for this?

Because Counters don't have alterable values, the preset menu containing the standard "Compare to fixed value" condition doesn't appear for Counters. Using "compare two general values" to compare the fixed value doesn't work because "compare two general values" doesn't select specific objects.

The solution to this is to use "Pick objects with reference to their fixed value" under the Create Object's conditions. This works for any type of object and also selects the one with the matching fixed value.

EDIT: Are you saying in your post that this solution is what you've been doing? It seems to work for me, see the attached test file.
