    String [Padding]

    Yves,

Strings in flash now appear to have extra 'invisible' padding compared to what we see in the editor.

For example, if you create a simple frame with 2 strings, give them a qualifier then do this:

    Mouse is Over 'Interface'
    - Set Text Colour (0,0,0)

    ( X ) Mouse is Over 'Interface'
    - Set Text Colour (255,255,255)

You will see that the invisible bounding box (even though resized in the frame editor) is creating it's own spacing, thus if the two text strings are directly below/above one another they're causing a "Mouse Over" issue. Not sure whether this is affecting the standard and hwa also as it could be an MMF2 bug rather than just flash, I think it could be directly MMF2 as the bug happens in 'Run Frame' locally.

I'm the one who made the Flash runtime, so I handle bugs and problems, not Yves
This is not a new problem. Flash string are created using a textfield object. If the string is vertically certered or aligned, the size of the textfield is bigger than the actual string size. Not much I can do about it, sorry.

Ah apologies Francois, I was unaware of that.

With regards to the strings in flash they're not vertically centered or aligned, however they are horizontally centered. This is a shame however, I am assuming I could revert to the Character Image Object to fix this.
