id Tech 5 is out already and is just as good if not better than the upcoming UE4. But id Tech 4 is free/opensource already iirc. And the released the Doom 3 source for it as well so that's cool.

If you want a cheap FPS engine, FPSCreator isn't too bad, it's fairly limited unless you learn the scripting language for it. I own it, I got it on a free deal they had (you could do some surveys or buy a cheap game ~$3-5 from some website, I bought Zuma since I kind of like it :P) and that deal may still be going on.

Ray Game Designer II is also really cool but has an INCREDIBLE learning curve and is a bit outdated and fumbley. It also uses terrible formats for textures and models.

That Fishhead 3D engine in MMF2 is really cool, very Wolfenstein-reminiscent. I've made raycasters but it's really hard to do them in MMF2 as SIN/COS seem to break when you have one loop inside of another. So I have had to make one loop for each ray which gets to be a lot when you have one ray per pixel width.

tl;dr: 3D is just a regular pain, it'll never be terribly easy. But some engines out there make it halfway simple for us.

Silent Walk Renaissance is free and very easy. Also supports scripts.

    It is FPS

OK, so far I've been trying to make a game like Torchlight 2 (torchlight2game.com) which I have pre-purchased. (I got the original free for pre-ordering and I love it!!!) Not the point, but anyway, I've been trying to make a game like that, to experiment with a different mode of "3D", has anyone created something like this here?

Oh and just a sidenote: I'm totally sticking with MMF2. Some of the other programs I tried for 3D have only worked for one type of 3D (Like Mode 7ex, but with way better graphics), and I'd rather stick to being able to having one program that can do almost anything instead of focusing on one main thing. Though it doesn't do 3D well, at least it's a start!
