Scrolling (window) Bug.

Hello kind friends,

When scrolling the window, not the frame, but the actual browser window, strange things seem to happen...

GOOD:


BAD:


There is nothing happening fancy here, these are just plain old active objects. You can fix it by moving any object over the "bad spot". But, it would be nice if it didn't happen.

Any ideas?

It happens when the vertical size of a stri_ng is not enough to display the entire text. Just make it taller.

Really? Because it happens on frames where there are no string objects...



Although there is an invisible string object off screen... Again, these are just active objects.

@CB - This could be just down to either browser/flash/flash app properties as I have a few games contained in large windows and scrolling causes no problems...

Not much help but at least it narrows it down?

I use Firefox, so I tested it in Internet Explorer and couldn't get the bug to occur.

Is it possible to force the entire screen to be redrawn?

Ha I did not realise I was in the Flash forum.
Flash display system does not involve saving the background. Everything is redrawn from fresh at every loop. So this problem is very strange.
I really cannot say anything until I see you application.

Well, creating or moving an object over the incorrectly drawn area definitely clears it up, which is why I figured redrawing the screen would help. Hiding the layer and then showing it again also fixes it. I'll try record a video of it. If you're interested Francois, I can PM you the website link.
