restoring control to a joypad once unplugged?

hi guys I've been working with the joypad object 2 to give the player the chance to use their joypads if they like, the controls work fine if it's plugged when the app starts but if I try to unplug it while the it's running it doesn't reestablish the control to the joypad once I plug it in again, I tried some conditions but I can't seem to make it work, can anyone point me in the right direction to do this?

If it works like Joypad 1 does: There should be a condition for 'joystick is plugged in' (or joystick is inplugged for Joypad1) - you should be able to run a check that way to see if the gamepad is plugged in or not, and then change your controls from there. CoI uses a method of this, were I more or less emulate keyboard presses within the game itself, so my method just activates and deactivates a 'controls' group.

Hope this helps some, I'm not at a computer with MMF atm so I can't check for sure.
