    Scaling?

I would like to learn how to do this type of scaling. The planets and asteroids look real. Anyone have any idea how this is done and could provide an example? I've tried and failed

    Hi KLiK-iT,

Looks to me like they are using real 3D objects and rotation and scaling them to create the effect. In the comments It they noted the use of stage3D which takes full advantage and use of the gpu. You could probably have to do the animations of the planets as actives to simulate 3D. I could be wrong but I haven't seen MMF2 flash exporter and 3D working together. But, it's the click community and I wouldn't be surprised if there was an extension or someone that may have accomplished it. Might just have to wait for the right person to respond.

John Boy, Sandy3D is available in flash might be worth a try but if you don't want to get that savvy with Sandy in flash then just create the 3D objects yourself, create the rotation animation then export it as a spritesheet > import into MMF2 as an active. Using scaling, rotation and positioning you can achieve some real cool pseudo-3D effects.

Danny! What's up man? Thank you for the response. I have the 3d models of planets and asteroids and so forth with rotations, but have no idea how I go about implementing this with scaling and positions to look as good as it was done in that game. Any help would be great. I could send you the graphics if need be.

Here's a simple example of how you get Earth to rotate around Sun. It should be a start, if nothing else
