    RGB coefficient?

    Hi
I noticed when playing around with an example that changing an Objects RGB cefficient also changed its color.
The object i was playing around with was a gradient circle Particle type object with the Add effect.

However when trying to reproduce this result i have no luck.
I create a gradient circle, give it the Add effect and change the RGB coefficient but no color change whatsoever.

What is RGB coefficient and how do i use it?

The add effect "cancels" out the RGB coefficient, RGB and ADD/Subtract cannot be used together if you intend to see both effects. RGB coefficient 'tints' the object in that color if i remember correctly

OK so, my Object is now set to ink effect 'None'.
I try to change the RGB coefficient but still no graphical change to the Object, but when i running the Frame the Object is totally invissible.
I still dont know how to ue the RGB coefficient.

I know that RGB coefficient can't be used in Flash games. I was going to send you a really great explosion/particle effect that you had requested in another post, but it can't be used in flash. I think the reason is that using effects in flash slows the application down to a crawl. I tried using this explosion/particle effect in standard mode and in flash mode and got 4fps as in Direct3D9 it was 50fps. Big difference. I pretty sure it works like semi transparencies. If you set the RGB coefficient to 0 there is no effect,.and if it's set to 255,.it's totally transparent. I'm not positive about this though. If you look it up on goggle,.it's pretty technical.

Well it seriously seems to be the other way around for me.
My application is currently at SWF build, and i can change RGB coefficient ( although nothing realy exiting happens when doing so ).
If i change to Standard build type, the RGB coefficent is grayed out and i am unable to select a RGB coefficient color.
I tried switching to DirectX but its still grayed out.

It also only works when in Direct3D Mode in Standard build type
