    AVI quicktime event problem

    Hi everybody,

I've searched the forum looking for an answer to my problem, and finally somebody seems to have gotten it right : http://community.clickteam.com/showthread.php?t=67835&page=11&p=510127&viewfull=1 #post510127

Unfortunately he's been inactive for a couple of months, so hopefully someone else can answer this question that has been bugging me like forever.

I want to make a FMV game like dragons lair or mad dog mccree with quicktime events. Problem : every time i want to switch to a new scene, 9 times out of 10 i get a black flash or a jerk before the new scene plays. How do i get a instant smooth transition to the next scene like SupaDave did ?

For testing i just used Play AVI - After 3 seconds : Stop AVI - Load new AVI - Play...and fail

A moderator or administrator could move it... It's okay, we all make mistakes.

The AVI object is really old, and we just keep it for compatibility. You should use the DirectShow object.

Yes, i've tried the DirectShow object and it works, just as long as i first put all my videofiles into 1 big one and play that way, otherwise i get the "shake" or "black pop up" moment.
