Unable to set an objects direction

After creating an object at Start of Frame, I can set the object's direction ( from right facing to left facing) if the set direction action is in the same event line. But any action to set that object's direction (Start of Frame, Always, etc...) in another event line doesn't show any change. What is strange is that if I set another object to the direction of the first object, it reads the direction correctly. There is a problem with the first object not "displaying" the correct animation direction.

I am using Beta 9 MMF2 Unicode. Can anyone confirm this?

So, the problem was that apparently calling a "stop" animation on an object will not allow you to update the animation direction of an object. I needed to do a start/change direction/stop sequence of events in one event line. This seems a little strange, but maybe this is how MMF has always been?
