IAP problem. Waiting for months, still can't release app.

Just noticed that Build 255 is out and exported my first app, which is on hold.

It was rejected due to a missing button. When this happened, the IAP item was marked as rejected, too and requesting data from it caused crashes. Somewhere I read that you have to upload a new binary to reset the item's state.

I did so and the app was rejected again, because the crashes still happened. Now, with Build 255, the app doesn't crash anymore when requesting IAP data and purchase/restore works fine, which is good.
Unfortunately, I can only retrieve the price of the item. Name and description are always empty, so I still can't submit.

Is it a problem of MMF? Or is there a problem with Apple?

I'm waiting for release since 1st of march. I really need to get this small game into the store to learn about this side of iOS business.

It might be good to connect up with Andos and Francois via email or PM to have them help with this.
They might need to look at your MFA file and also gather some other info to help figure this out that you might not want to post in a public forum.

I found two emails from you in my spam-folder Sorry about that! Google has been doing that recently for some of my contacts.
If you sent more than those two I can't see them (they get automatically deleted after one month).

As far as I remember you told me that the problem started happening after your app got rejected on a matter not related to the store. This sounds like a weird problem from Apple's side.
Have you tried contacting Apple on why the store returns invalid data after the app state changed? I heard that other people had the same problem but that is suddenly went away. Not sure if they had to do something on iTunes Connect to make that happen.

Somewhere I read about such trouble being solved by submitting a new binary. I did so, but without success, only the item's state changed from rejected to "Developer Action Needed". I don't see any useful options in iTunes.

What irritates me is that the crashes disappeared since Build 255, and everything works fine again, but only part of the requested data is retrieved (only the price).
Doesn't this look more like a problem of MMF?

Just want to let you know the problem wasn't related to MMF.

My first submission was rejected due to a missing IAP Restore button. The IAP item itself was rejected, too, for reasons I still don't understand. And that was the problem. I missed one sentence in the Apple dev manual which states: a rejected item will never work again, you have to create a new item.

3 reasons why it was so hard to find the solution of the problem:
- The item was no longer "Rejected" after the second submission, so I just didn't look for a solution related to the status.
- It still worked, at least partially.
- Meanwhile there are very similar problems discussed at the Apple dev forums which are definitely caused by Apple. "Slightly" misleading.

Now I created a new item and everything works fine again. But I still can't submit due to new MMF bugs (which I'll describe in a different thread)

SubApp trouble again. They suck in iOS. I'll remove them, although the app will look less elegant without. Already wasted too much time when trying to work with them as effective as in Windows. It's impossible.
