Get color/ RGB value from specific pixel

How can i get the color or RGB value of a specific coordinat/ pixel in my Application?

Try the Pixel object. It's not ported to other platforms though.

I don't think it would be very feasible, seeing as Flash doesn't exactly have 'pixels'. :\

Specifically what i am trying to do is to retriev the color/ RGB value of a specific point on the screen/ Application to check if semitransparency is present or not

That is not possible in any drawing system I have ever heard of, not even the normal runtime. Transparency doesn't work like that - it affects how things interact when they initially get drawn, it doesn't affect actual pixels on the screen.
