    releasing an unfinished app

so ive been working on a game for a few months now and i have a few more levels to go but i wanted to release it now and add the rest via download later. they would be free as well they just would be in the initial version. what do you guys think? id love to hear your thoughts.

also do you think each "world" in an ipod app should have 30+ levels? i only have it set up as 3 levels and a boss like a much more old school game but 30 levels a world is just too much. what do you guys think?

For me, it depends how long each level takes to play and how difficult they are. Eg if a level takes 1-2 minutes to complete from never having played it, then 30+ levels makes sense. But if it takes about 30-60mins, then 3 levels and a boss makes more sense. Also if the level is replayable, eg to get a better score/rating then that can also increase value. Of course the level still needs to be fun to play and not 30-60mins of drudgery!
Personally, I'm more for short levels when played on iOS, so I can pick it up and put it down easily. This doesn't mean that levels only take a minute, I might try some 20-30 times before I get them right, eg Where's My Water.
Best bet is to playtest it and see what people think who haven't played it before and so don't know how to solve your levels and see how long it takes them.

Going on from what AyreGuitar said - I also think short replayable levels are better. Take a look at RunRunDie, a very fun and addictive MMF-made game, which has 35 short levels.

For free extra levels, just release an update that includes the new levels. The update will be available for free to all current owners.
