Exclamation "pending an apple release" on itunes connect

My app status turned to a red "Pending an Apple Release".

Pending Apple Release: If you have submitted an app for an upcoming iOS release your app will stay in this state until the corresponding iOS release is made public. For example we can expect that Apple will shortly invite developers to submit apps ahead of the public release of iOS 5. You can also reject the app whilst waiting in this state.
(posted august 2011, iOS 5.1 is now released)

This really puzzles me, because my base SDK is 5.1, and my deployment target is 4.2, so what have i done wrong? and if i don't reject the binary and change it, when can i expect it to be released?

When i click on binary details in itunes connect it says
    Minimum OS Requirements : 4.2

I tested the game on my ipod running 5.1.1, and possibly the 5.1 emulators.
I didn't change any of the default values after exporting from MMF, except adding a 144px icon for ipad retina and checking the "already includes gloss effect" box.
