    Grid-based spatial indexing

I have a grid-based system for detecting which units are in range of each other.

    Example: Attachment 7190

    Problems:

    - Units sometimes shoot at nothing

    - Bullet colour is not being set correctly, whereas with non-grid versions of this it works fine

    - Units are often innacurate due to angle -> direction conversion

    - Units close to each other but not in the same gridspace don't register (pretty obvious but still annoying)

Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Nevermind, solution didn't give good FPS past a 7*6 grid anyway.

This thread can be deleted (unless anyone has a better solution ).
