extensions available for the java mac stand alone build

I wish to know is the open URLs object available to me to use ?

Currently I have a pc version of my app, the user clicks on a active and this action opens the web page.

Please could you tell me of a way to do this with a java mac build.

According to my list of objects for use when I set my build to java mac stand alone the open URLs is NOT listed

The only way I have benn able to get this object into the java build was to set my build options to "stand alone" insert the object, then change the build to "java mac stand alone"

I do not think this will work and I do not own a mac so I can not test it.

Would someone please let me know as a sponsor is waiting and I may loose this sale.

If its not listed it won't work.

What about using Anaconda? It might get you a closer feature to a standard EXE then Java does.
The Anaconda works on PC, Linux and Mac.

Now for my opinion on this:
Its never a good idea to enter a job for making a game or app for a system you can't test.
I wouldn't do it unless I could do it in a format I could test on my PC -- Like Anaconda or Flash.

I highly suggest you find a friend or a place you can rent a MAC if your going to make a game to run on a MAC.

Thank jeff for your thoughts of course I intend to test the app on a MAC.

I have been in contact with nirvam and he kindly states he has the Open URLs object available in his list of objects allowed for the java mac stand alone build.

I have the developer edition of mmf, maybe the object was updated and I still have only the pc version ?

Would you be kind enough to verify that the open URLs object is available to use within the java MAC build options.

    Thankyou for your help

It does not work under Java -- That extension only has a PC runtime.

I think your best idea would be to try Anaconda Export

You can try it for free -- See how it works and then buy it if it does all you want it to do.

emm. Odd that I have it showing. We must investigate this further, before I appear on the operating table again.

Also. I think the Anaconda Export is now free.

    Update:

    Jeff,

    I have a openURLs_Java dated 4/5/12.

Someone back me up. It shows in the Java Mac build.

Everyone knows what happens when I start clutching my chest and get angry. Or is that get angry, then clutch my chest. LOL

Mista Nivram, how about you post the jar/mfx/dat/etc... files? You'll see the filenames under the last tab of object properties.

Odd you should ask, since you posted right after the post for the link. Look at LB's post/link dated 18 March 2012:

    http://community.clickteam.com/showthread.php?t=48621

The link is still active. It works and it shows with the Java Mac build.

Ah I didn't know he did a Java version.
Perhaps the original poster needs to redownload it then.

I only have the older version that works only with the Windows runtime.

Still don't think Java for MAC is going to work that well except for all of the simplest applications.
Perhaps his commercial project is simple .. if not I would look into Anaconda.

LB created a Java port of my Open URLs Object some time ago. I think you can find it on his site.
