    Pinging from MMF

    Greetings everyone,

I have been tasked to write a program that goes down a list of IPs to ping them once every few minutes, and on a failed ping send a notification to X user via email.

    My questions are this:
    1. Is there a way to ping from within MMF?
    2. Providing the answer to the above is true, is there a way to check for a successful or failed ping attempt?
    3. For the Ext devs out there: How hard would it be to write an extension to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Yes, use DarkSocket with ICMP, there's a PDF with the extension for using it.
    2. Yes, see what gets returned.
    3. See 1!

LocalIP++ has still come in handy - hostname does want i want. I also need the IP address, but it always includes the gateway address which i don't want displayed.

Not quite sure why the gateway address is included in the first place or at least the option of just getting the IP address?

Actually, the IP works if it's not a network - it only shows the gateway if it is attached to a network/domain. It would seem this is either a bug or unwanted "feature"

I might actually try the standard LocalIP extension and see if that works tommorrow.
