Checking which device the app runs on?

I would like to change the size and position of of buttons during runtime, depending if it is iPhone or iPad.
How can I check if the app is currently running on iPhone or iPad?

There is an extension somewhere on this forum which can detect device, don't think it's updated for iphone 5 yet but it works well otherwise.

I still wish CT would add the code of this extension to their iOS Object

However, if it's only about distinguishing iPod/iPhone/iPad in general (not the various models) you can use the iOS Object.
