    Built in transitions

    Using transitions on active objects seems to be glitchy. the transitions don't look right on the device, but seem fine on the PC...

    Is this a known issue?

    I think it is known, and up until a recent fix, could cause memory leaks and crashes. Andos mentioned in the "guide to faster games" that they're not recommended. I believe that bugs are introduced when using more than 1 transition at once.

    Anyway, making your own transitions is better, and will run faster on both iOS and PC.

    Tuna can you send me a file demonstrating the transition bug in the iOS runtime?

    Transitions can lead to higher memory usage on the graphics card during the transitions but they shouldn't be buggy.

    I don't recommend them because of the higher memory usage (not trackable in the XCode memory profiler) and because they can have a performance penalty. If you can make the same effect without the transitions then that will usually be faster.

    Andos, yes, I've already made my own and moved on, since using the built in transitions are not the right way to go, lets not spend any more time on it.
