    drag and drop movement will not work in Flash

    Hi,
    I recently finished a game that uses the built in Clickteam drag and drop movement heavily. I could swear I tested it in Flash before and it worked perfectly. Now strangely drag and drop does not work at all. It does nothing. It works perfectly in MMF2 but will not work in Flash. What's going on? It is frustrating because I just finished the game and now it won't build properly. Any ideas? Thanks,

    The action points and hot spots on the objects might be moved around.

    Flash player version build set for 9.0.124 in Properties > Settings > Flash Player version might help.

    I suggest making each object unique, not cloning or copying them. Even if it is the same image, change some pixels and make it another object.

    example file

    Hi,
    I have included an example file to illustrate the problem. The weird thing is that when I duplicated the pink object, then the original pink object would work again. Try it with the blue object and you'll see what I mean. Do I have to re-make all of my objects? What is going on? The game worked several weeks ago and now it is all messed up. Could this occur if I switched back and forth between using MMF2 standard and developer? Any ideas would be great. Thanks,

    Please see if this works ok for you (first time using attachment feature on this website): dragndrop_exps_edited1.mfa

    It looks like you were putting the string objects to go over and follow your draggable objects. So they were acting as an invisible wall to your mouse cursor. Think of it as layers of cake, and the mouse cursor is the fork. The string objects were acting as a cover somewhat.

    I moved the hotspot and action points on the objects up to the top (which moved the string objects up), and I was able to copy and paste the two objects and move them with the mouse once built as a swf.

    I also turned off the Limit Drag Area on one of them but that may not have anything to do with it as I was narrowing down what was going on with your build.

    I suggest putting any string objects so that they are not immediately over any objects you want to move with the mouse. Maybe put them off to the side, or put the letters for those objects as a part of the art for those objects.

    You are correct! It was a dumb mistake on my part (The boxes for the strings are HUGE and were covering up the objects). Thanks,
