Why isn't the object appearing...?

I've just copied an object from a file containing an older version of my game. This I did because I realized after doing a lot of work that I'd deleted the object, and I didn't feel like undoing and redoing all of that work. However, now when I play the game (the new version, at least), the object doesn't show up. In the editing interface it's there, but it isn't when the game is actually being played. I've tried creating a new object, copying and pasting the sprite, and reprogramming all of its properties. It still doesn't show up, though it does in the older version of the game. What am I doing wrong?

Have you checked 'Visible at start' under properties?
Try setting a Counter to 'number of Objects', and see what it displays?

Oh, I've figured out what the issue was. The "number of objects" in the room was set to 500, and I had more objects than that.
