[BUG] Flag for turning off appicon glossy effect is being ignored.

In Xcode, if you set the "Is Glossy effect on AppIcon" to YES, it still exports with the glossy effect.

Hopefully this is an MMF related issue and not an Xcode related one.

Do you mean the product image in iTunes? Should be corrected once you submit the app.

mobichan - In XCode there should be a tick box in your Project Summary under App Icons called Prerendered. Tick that if you don't want the Glossy effect added to your icon. Sorry if you meant you'd already done this!

I meant the app icon that sits on your device's home screen.

Strange, don't have this effect on devices. Maybe delete from device and clean in Xcode? Always a good idea.

I only brought this up because the flag used to work in Xcode. Since I upgraded to Mountain Lion and the latest Xcode and exporter beta, this flag seems to get ignored.

Also, I always clean before building and running just to be safe.

I was having that problem after updating Xcode, but it just recently stopped happening.
It should be default off. It's a silly effect.

I'm not sure why it suddenly started working again.

I agree it should be a default off effect. But no matter if I set it to Yes or No, the effect still appears. I wonder if this is a setting Clickteam can set to OFF as part of the bundle file generated in MMF?

    Yes they can.

As AyreGuitar said, try checking the box "Prerendered" next to the icon preview in xCode and see if that fixes anything.

Thanks Guys! I found the prerendered button and that did the trick. Did that appear in the latest xcode, because I don't remember it being there before?

    Cheers,

    Reg
