Good iOS Dev forum?

Apple has forums on their developers site. You could also try the forums over at tigsource for some C&C.
Of course there are a few developers here that have released relatively successful titles that might be willing to part with some wisdom.

I am completely new to the iOS market so I would like to read up on the absolute basics of how to behave in this marketplace if there is such a place?

Here in CT forum there's the iAP sticky and many useful hints from Distantj. I also remember interesting discussions on indiegamer forum.

This is excellent for seeing what types of apps and games are already released similar to what you may be working on. Not a forum, but a good tool.

Then you can check out the ratings and reviews, then also check the actual app out and see what you like and don't like about how the developer approached certain ideas.

Great for researching not only for iOS, but can give you an idea of what genres and visual styles of games seem to be more popular and such.
