Unhappy Cutting in Half the MFA file size like this! is it possible?

Say I have 10 objects - all have 2 frames (1 facing right, 1 facing left) and the MFA is 10MB in size

What if: all 10 objects - have 1 frame (1 facing right), the MFA is greatly smaller "BUT"

Is there a way in the event editor, to tell the MMF2 to make a one frame object face right or left regardless of it just having 1 frame where the character is only facing right for example? if so, how? thanks

(like for example "char" is overlapping wall, "flip" char horizontally left.) I know this can be done with the picture object.
But I want to use only the active object (they're more powerful in features)

I got hundreds of objects each having 2 frames, if this can be done I will greatly diminish my 120MB mfa file

I hope I was clear enough!

To answer the question asked yes, this can be done in HWA and HWA only via the flip horizontal shader.

Although it might be better and more efficient if you got rid of unnecessarily large active objects, compress any sound files you have, remove any alpha channels that serve no purpose in quick backdrop/backdrop/active/etc. For the really big images, you could also halve the image dimensions and scale this image by a factor of 2 to reduce file size.

If you have hundred's of objects, if they are all clones off one object, that is what is severely hurting your file size.

Thank you, that was great! One little thing, why are my effects greyed out? do I have to download it? the flip horizontally effect is greyed out!

No need, I went and searched and found out that I needed to enable DirectX9, wow, this is Awesome, I'm so excited, now my MFA will be half the size. Yeah, all my actives are individually an interactive character.

Oh man, but here's another problem. The characters are set to start moving about (they're 8 direction actives) and so when the app starts, each of them starts moving, but say a character that's only facing right starts moving left!
It will appear as it is moving backwards. How can I apply the flip shader so that it flips the object based on it's direction? Oh my, I hope I'm not confusing anyone.

Ok, here's what I entered in the event editor for an active that's facing "Right":

Object is going in the left direction / Flip. (this works fine) BUT

Once it bounces off the Left wall of the screen, it Moves right but the flip is not disabled.

Oh My, I'm laughing at my self in Happiness and crazyness mixed. All is solved now.

What I did was: (I found out ) when object is going right / set effect to none!

Oh mmf2, how I love you and how I love the dear folks who have helped me on this forum! Have a good night you all friends!
