Mooclick Server Question

Greetings!

How do you capture incoming messages from clients?

I'm testing a mooclick server and I'm trying to capture incoming texts in a edit box, but I'm not getting anything. The clients connect and work (chat + movement) but I'd like the server to be able to save a log of the chat, and I am having difficulty doing so. Seems like it's a basic thing, but it's frustrating me... :p



For instance, if I create this rule (on the server)

Server --> Connection --> on Client Message

Then: add 1 to counter



The counter never goes up...


Any ideas?

The Moo extensions are deprecated - they're old, buggy, and the developer has left and stopped supporting them. The Lacewing set of extensions is under active development and they are much easier to use. You can find more information here:

Yes, They are 'buggy', but I know the workarounds to most of the bugs, and I'd prefer not to go through 2000+ lines and switch to Lacewing, and trade one set of (known) bugs for another.

If there's no way to do this with MOOclick, I guess I'll need to create an app which just connects as a client and logs the messages...
