cutting and pasting events [bug]

Hi,

I'm having trouble cutting and pasting some events, specifically ones in which the ForEach extension is involved (although sometimes it's just random).

It simply won't duplicate the event on pressing Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. Reinstalled MMF and iOS exporter, still same problem. To replicate please create an event that uses ForEach and try to copy & paste it. Could it be just my setup?

Please help as I need to copy and paste large chunks of code from test files into my project.

It copies and pastes fine for me... Are you using the latest build?

It may be an issue with iOS exporter installed. Could someone please confirm?

What operating system (and service pack) are you using? I find the OS sometimes has a bit of a role to play when it comes to problems like this.

I would suggest you try MMF2 on another user on your computer (create one temporally if not)... it could be a user profile issue.

Tried another user, same issue.

Using Win7 Ultimate, SP1.

Seems to be a clipboard issue with MMF, all other programs work fine. I can cut but then paste is greyed out.

It is possible that the ios ForEach and other ForEach objects have different identification values, which would prevent copying and pasting.

I don't know if it's ForEach specifically, but it seems to happen in projects that have it. It could also happen in projects that don't but I can't reproduce it in a blank project (though I haven't got far enough with one to see if it will happen).

Events that have absolutely nothing to do with the extension often don't paste, it's really intermittent and weird, not to mention annoying.

SolarB, I would highly recommend if you could strip down 2 versions of the mfa's (one working - one not working - same events) and zipping them up to Yves.

Hi Danny, that won't help as I've just realised it's completely intermittent even with a project with one active and one event. I'm going to check my pc for malware as it could be the issue. I've heard it can screw with clipboard etc.

Oh Yes, I misread I thought the issue was events actions not responding with the paste. Yeah I would recommend a scan, also check which services you have running and give your system a good clean out. Sometimes certain services can prevent CTRL+C / CTRL+V states in various applications.
