    Mirroring an active?

    I'm trying to improve my current game which will be released around January. A whole lot of unnecessary VRAM usage is a result of copying the animations depending on if my characters faces left or right. It'd be most rad if a negative X and Y scale could be used in order to mirror an object. Is there any chance this could be added? In order to not break backwards compatibility, a checkbox could be added to each active that says "enable negative scales" which is disabled by default.

    So, shaders are completely out of the question?

    Yep, the flip shader is unreliable in some graphics cards (e.g. the last one I had) for non-powers-of-two object sizes (and I'm not going to change all the objects in the entire game to add that), I don't want to use the extra GPU, I dislike the type of workaround because it's not the right way to do it in the first place, and then I have to combine the flip shader with all the other shaders I sometimes use.

    My game really, really needs this addition though, it really hurts its loading times and VRAM usage.
