I've looked up and down the manual for your router specifically, and unfortunately couldn't find a feature for what we're looking for. Your last resort is to set up Windows to use a specific (static) IP, although this isn't the most reliable should the router be rebooted or assign a new IP to another device, it'll work though... it depends how far you want your project to go and how many people will be using your social network.

Change you address assignment to "Use the following IP address"
Enter the free IP address you found earlier in the IP address. The subnet of you network (occording to your router) is 24bit so enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet. For the gateway this will be the router address so enter 192.168.0.1 there.
For DNS enter the IP of the router also as most routers will handle your DNS requests also. You wont have/need a secondary DNS server so you can leave that blank.

Kudos XStar, it works. Your next aim should be to develop it. I'm kind of stuck on the e-mail page... We can conclude the thread as "we got there... eventually".

Are you intending this to be a private or public social network? You should be careful posting the link on the forums.

In the end at least... You're right as my aim is to develop it, but what it needs most right now is security.

I have a server, I have ready PHP files and java scripts, all of that ready!

What I need to know is using the server (file given), how can I combine it with the PHP files? (also given ((some of them at least)))

Please help!
