Scrolling in Flash not working

Hi,
I am working on a game that has scrolling. It works in exe but is not working in Flash. The event I am using to cause the scrolling is:

ALWAYS center display at 0,0 from "active"

The frame is 1920 x 960
and the application window size is 640 X 480.

Any ideas why this scrolling would fail to work in Flash?

I checked into the problem further and the scrolling only fails if the following event is activated:

"ON Group activation"

Set RGB coefficient of "active" to 40.

It doesn't seem that setting the RGB coefficient to set up semi-transparency should have any effect whatsoever on scrolling. Is this a bug? Thanks,
