There is a thread about it here http://community.clickteam.com/showthread.php?t=73888&highlight=newsstand that no one answered so far.
It seems like the immediate answer is no.

Also, while app publishing is 'easy' other sections of like movies and magazines are not so easy to get into. I remember looking into movies some time ago and you must have an authorized apple publisher to back you up or something. I don't remember if I found what one need to be an authorized publisher but I found a few publisher that charged around $1000 per year or movie published etc.

Well you can of course put them in the app store the same way you would a game, just not in the book store.

TheCrimsonTaco - it should be possible! That's just an app in the Books category of iTunes, rather than using Newsstand or iBooks.

Look up the open source Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/ Not only does it help you convert various ebook formats, also helps you manage all the books and such that you download. http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq....ersion-to-from

With it, it makes it easier to put things into amazon's format, epub, etc; and then publish yourself, on Amazon, Google Play, etc and get it out there. Granted this is only going to help with non-interactive comics.

You can also put limited versions in Flash on Newgrounds (there are indie creators of music, drawn/painted art, Flash games, music, and animations on there), get some small tiny ad revenue, and get feedback from the community to help you improve and learn.

You could also make a Flash version with all the bells and whistles that you want, and sell it packaged up in a zip and sell it yourself on your website with BMT Micro, Fastspring, etc.

If you worry too much about it being copied, don't worry about it. It will be copied. If it is really good and people like it, it will be copied more. Think of it as free marketing toward future products that you release.

Hope that helps and/or inspires you some =)
