They look bigger, but there size is identical : does the size of your fingers change when go from iPod to iPad? We actually reduce the images by two to have them displayed at the correct dimension...

    Universal Apps and Joystick Images

I thought they were reporting that the size no longer changes? Looking at the linked thread, this is completely intentional - as Francois says, the iPad is bigger so the joystick shrinks to still fit the fingers.

Wait now I am lost, what is intentional? The dimension of the Joystick graphic for the iPad and iPhone should be the same then?

The joystick and buttons should be smaller in relation to the game on iPad, so that they are roughly the same size physically on the different devices, since using the iPad doesn't make a person have giant fingers :P

Oh...okay, then I should resize the buttons on the iPad side to match the iPhone's? Also, would it be that difficult to be implemented, different graphics for different devices to MMF2? Just like you have different images for the launch screens...

Of course, now there's the iPad mini, so they might not want to be quite as small? And iPad with Retina - just to complicate things further!

Can't we have an option to disable resizing? I just want to use a fixed size, optimized relative to the rest of screen content.

I don't understand what you mean by this François, Retina iPhone has almost the same resolution as the iPad 2, I do not understand because it looks twice the size the Joystick on the iPhone, is more I dare say that this shape is not functional a Joystick so great on the iPhone and iPod Touch! Look at the pictures of the post that you place in a game landscape steals your screen too and in a portrait game almost takes your 80% with a single shot, with two button already it is crazy.

I was talking about the non retina ipod and iphone : the size of the joystick has to be reduced on those devices.

Images that I put for example are on an iPhone 4 (retina), this device will reduce by half? The iPad 1 and iPad 3 the size of the Joystick is perfect.
