    Vibration help

I want to add vibration as an option in my game Ba-Bomb!.
Adding the vibrate function looks simple, but I don't have an iPhone or iPad (only an iPod Touch), so I can't actually test this function.

I guess all I want to ask is:
If I use "flag 1 is on: vibrate", will it stop vibrating if flag 1 is off?

If I recall correctly, you enter a duration in the vibrate action, so it will stop after that duration.
So if you set this duration to short, when the flag is 1, the action will make the phone vibrate at every loop. When flag turns to 0, the vibration will stop after a small delay.
So yes, it will do what you want.

On the iOS exporter there's no duration, the 'vibrate' event just does one short set vibration.

Note that Apple will probably reject an app with constant vibration.

I think that Francois is confused with Android Exporter where if the duration of the vibration can be placed.

So, exactly how long is this short vibration?

Ha yes, sorry, mixed it with Windows Phone and XBOX gamepads where you can enter a duration.
Actually, I do not have an iPhone (just iPods), so I cannot answer the question.

Whenever my iPhone gets a call incoming, it pulses a 1 second vibrate until I answer. However, when I get a message it vibrates once for about half a second. Sorry I can't test it with MMF though.

    Vibration help

It lasts about the same time as when you get an email, just one short vibration. Roughly half a second.

    Thanks.

Would telling it to vibrate while a flag is on produce just 1 short vibration, or would it be constant?

    Vibration help

    It would probably crash.

Also Apple don't allow apps with a constant vibration.
