    Music restarting instead of resuming

    Hi
    In a Flash game i am working on, i have a pause/ resume function which pauses and resumes all Samples.

    Music and SFX play on different Channels.

    However when resuming All Sounds, ALL music Samples restart instead of resuming ( only in Flash ) while ALL SFX resume from where they were paused.

    ...
    Why is this happening?
    How can i fix this?

    Yes, this is a well-know problem in ActionScript : the sdk does not contain the commands necessary to resume a sound at the exact same location after it has been paused.

    Ok, thanks.

    I do have alot of SFX Samples and only a few number of Music Samples.
    Some of the music Samples are very long while other are short loops.
    However, it is only the Music Samples which restart uppon resuming.
    All other SFX Samples resume correctly.

    I mean what could be the trigger to this, it cant be a coincidence that its all the Music Samples which restart instead of resuming?
    Some SFX are longer than the Music Loops, so what differentiates my Music from my SFX causing them ( and only them ) to restart?
    ( all my music play on the same Channel, needless to say only 1 Music Sample can play at a time )
