    Boardgame help

Hi... I am thinking of doing a boardgame but need some technical advise for doing so. Any pointers on the following is deeply appreciated :
    - how to i implement the movement of the player object and its movement from one tile to the next following a dice throw. Is there a way for the player piece to know how to move to the correct tile on its own?
    - any input on the purpose and functions of the advanced boardgame object?
    - are there tutorials and examples on how to do is?

Thanx once again for any help....
