Decimals and Maths

Is there anyway of getting MMF2 to handle decimals and more advanced maths? I use Maths Army Knife and other maths extensions in 1.5 currently but after looking around I see no such extensions for 2 yet? Anyway around this?

Doing this would set the counter to 0:
[events]* Start of frame
- Set counter to 1/2[/events]
Whereas this would set the counter to 0.5:
[events]* Start of frame
- Set counter to 1.0/2
[/events]
...What advanced math are you speaking of?
