    Sub-app Semi Transparency

Is it possible to make a sub-app semi transparent? I'm really needing this at the moment!

Or does anyone know a decent workaround? I want a completely visable part of the subapp in the middle and a semitransparent part around it showing the frame behind.

    Thanks

You can't have semitransparent areas sadly, but you can have fully transparent areas and fully opaque (non-transparent) areas when you use the Window Shape Object. Then you can make your sub application any shape you want using a bitmap.

You can use the screen capture object to capture the frame and send it to a file, and then in your sub app use the active picture object to load the file and use that as your background.

I think one of Sphax's extensions can make your sub-app semi-transparent. I know it can make your main app transparent.

    - but you limit your app/game to only work on Windows 2000 and newer.

And I wouldn't rely on taking screenshots and saving to the disk just to load up again.

I am working on a feature for ViewPort to display the image from another frame across sub-applications.
