    MMF2 USB Portablity, Question?

I Have recently managed to get my mmf2 to run perfectly on a portable USB; removing the need for Re-installation (i can run it strait off the USB)

I was half way thou posting an article on how to do it, when my common sense kicked it...

I looked thou what i got with the disk and couldn't find any material relating to click teams views on the issue.

Since this is potentially a legal issue, ill try to be specific; It Still requires installation and hence a CD validity check, it just removes the need to Reinstall it when it is moved between systems.

Can't give technical details away in a public forum (obviously), but if someone from click team could provide an idea of the boundaries of the product license?

beware as a problem I found is that it keeps the license file on the computer when finished so other people can take it and use it so I manually delete it after I have finished

Personally I don't see any legal issue if you are the only one who uses this key.

My understanding is that you can install the programme on several machines provided that you don't run it simultaneously on multiple machines at the same time.

My understanding was that, as a general rule, CT are fine with absolutely anything, so long as you aren't trying to screw them out of their livelihood.

Well, and if MMF2 runs from a flash drive, you can only use it in 1 computer, logically =)
So, I guess it'll be alright, as long as you don't leave license info in the computer.

Um, SEELE, did your 'portabilizing' process have any kind of special steps? I'd like to see how it was =)

    Re: MMF2 USB Portablity, Question?

Did you actually get it to be truly portable, or does it still write to the windows registry?
