Thread: I can't get it to run on xcode simulator.

    Exclamation I can't get it to run on xcode simulator.

    Hi, this is my first attempt to export my project to xcode. I've read several posts and the documents.
    But when I tried to run my project, the simulator turns up blank with blank screen. OSX says it's not responding.
    I have no choice except to force quit xcode and the simulator.

    Then try with another app that all it's doing is to show a quick backdrop. This time it's a bit different.
    The simulator does not crash and xcode says "Finished running **** on iPhone 6.0 Simulator"
    Sadly, there's still nothing appear on the simulator.

    My software versions are as follows:
    MMF2 - Build R255
    iOS Exporter - I don't know, but check for update said I have the latest version. How can I check?
    OSX - 10.8.2
    Xcode - 4.5.1 (4G1004)
    Base SDK - Latest (iOS 6.0)

    I suspect that the Base SDK might be the issue as the doc said it needs iOS 4 SDK. I tried to change that in xcode but there's nothing to choose except that and OSX. Please help.

    Can you try to compile and run in XCode a very simple application with one active object? And report if it works here?

    I'll try what you suggest. But I havn't own a mac yet, gotta test it at my office in a few days.
    Will report back asap.

    Hi Francois, I've tried again but still not success.
    I've download the latest beta of iOS export module (Build 256 Beta 8).

    I tried the clean build from MMF with 'iOS Xcode Project' export type.
    The project was opened, build, and run with no issue, but there's still nothing shown on the simulator screen, not even the launch image.
    I then tried adjusting the project settings and sometimes the simulator does show a broken image, like the ststic version of an old tv without signal.

    Can you try to search and load an example from Apple site, compile it and see if it works?

    After uninstall everything and reinstall with the latest version then export the game again, I got it running.
    But it's strange that in the simulator my app didn't show up in the first place.

    I got to build & run apple's demo project first to make the simulator show desktop screen and see my app's icon there.
    Why didn't it show up before that, I don't have a clue.

    Anyway, it's finally works. Thank you Francois.
