Help with Joystick2.mfx extension

I did a fresh install of windows 7 the other day, and it normally would always work fine with MMF2 in the old install I had. I reinstalled MMF2, put all my extentions in, and now it claims it can't find it, when it's clearly in the extentions folder. I then decided to just copy the whole folder of the old install of MMF2 into my new windows program files folder. It still claims it cannot find it. Then, when I boot into my old windows install, it opens everything fine. Any ideas?

Sorry for the bump, but in case this happens to anyone else, I found out my problem.

I needed direct X for a few extensions to work. So if anyone ever does a fresh install of Windows and forgets some things, don't freak out like I did! Thanks to anyone who took the time to try and help me!
