Old School Vector Look & Glow Questions

Anyone have any example for the look of old school vector games, like:

Asteroids

Battle Zone

Looking to get the vector look with the slight glow that comes with it. (You really can't tell from the videos, but for those of you "blessed" to have seen these in person know what I'm talking about. The lines are bright.

Anyone have any example for the look of neon-like glowing lines (different than old school vector graphics), like:

I've attached a sample asteroids ship with glow. What I did to achieve this was to create a white triangle on a black background in my paint program. I then copied that triangle. I applied a blur over the image, and pasted my triangle that was copied over that blurred image, and that gives us the glow effect.

Here's a page of asteroid objects that you can cut out the individual pieces for your game actives, and have the "glow" effect applied

For the neon lines, it is a similar process. I created a square of color in a paint program and applied some blur, then placed a lighter square of color inside of it, blurred again, then cut out a single pixel width brush. If you grab this brush and draw lines, they will have a similar look to what is in the video

Here's a list of numbers that have the glow effect as well. Feel free to cut out the individual numbers and blit these for you score or whatever
