problem with Hi-res movie in MMF (EXE)

I'm building an application with couple of Hi-res movies.
The resolution of the movies (and the MMF application itself) is 1024x768. There is a very visible "tearing" in one of the movies where the camera is slowly moving (scrolling) over some objects (with other words- movement is not smooth. The problem is probably in all movies, but with static camera the problem is not so visible). I tried with different objects ("Animation object" with DivX and VidX compression... "AVI objects" with same compression... "Qiuck time object" with h.264 compression... I tried the same movies with Active Direct Show object, but I didn't get a picture - only sound).
I tried with different frame rates (the film runs with 25fps so I tried with 25, 50, 60, 100fps in MMF- without any visible difference). I also tried with V-sync ON and OFF at the "Start of Frame"... Without success.
I was hopping that more pronounced motion blur will mitigate the problem- but it didn't.

Resolution of the monitor is also 1024*768 (no resizing).
I tried all modes (Standard, DirectX etc...)

Of course the videos runs very smoothly and fine outside of MMF (in Quick Time player or VLC player).

I'm a little desperate. Any idea how to solve the problem?

    Thank you in advance!

    Dušan

Have you tried the Standard (non-active) Direct Show object?

Handling video files in MMF is a horrible task. There is always another issue it seems.

kikiriki, did you also noticed changes in the brightness of your videos in different display modes?
Here is a problem I had: Problems with Active Direct Show video playback in display mode DirectX9
Maybe you can try the attached demo file and have a look whether it works or not and how it looks.

I'm also very interested to clear this mess up because I also need to playback larger video files in a future project.
Let me know if I can help you in any way. I have also experience in professional film editing and can try anything according different codecs etc.

    happygreenfrog:
Both- Direct Show and Active Direct Show doesn't even work on my system (or maybe I'm doing something wrong). I don't get any picture, but sometimes I hear sound. The help file for Direct Show object says that supports: "MPEG 1, AVI files, uncompressed or compressed with Cinepak or Indeo codecs, DV, QuickTime 2". I didn't try those codecs because they are not made for Hi-res videos. As I said I trided DivX, VidX and h.264

    Gustav:
Now that you are mentioned I compared video from MMF and original in Premiere side by side and I can notice some changes in brightness and color saturation. (Nothing critical in my case. You can also spot those differences in different movie playes.)
Can you give me step by step instructions how to work with Active Direct Show video? (Which codec do you use etc... Like I said- for me it doesn't work at all- so it could be that I'm doing something wrong...). Thank you in advance!

I just want to let you know, that I solved my problem with Direct Show object. It runs much smoother now. Problem was, that Direct Show doesn't automatically resize to full movie resolution at the beginning. It only shows a small part of the picture and in my case this particular small part of the movie was black. So black cut from the movie on the black background looked like object doesn't work. Thank you both for help!
