How is this added to an expression

I was looking at some code in an example and I can't figure out how they added this to the end of this expression? When you click to edit it,..it's not there!? Look at the picture, to see what I mean.

XActionPoint( "UFO Gun" )+Cos(Angle( "UFO Gun" ))*(LoopIndex("ShootBeam")*8)

YActionPoint( "UFO Gun" )-Sin(Angle( "UFO Gun" ))*(LoopIndex("ShootBeam")*8)

It's not part of the expression, that's the condition.

It's a collision mask condition; it compares x,y in the collision mask to be an obstacle or not.

How about that. I never saw a condition like that before in MMF. Learn something new every day.

So,.if I understand this,.if you adjust the X8 in this condition it will place the beam higher or lower in the frame? I also noticed that it only reacts to backdrop objects that are set to be an obstacle.
