Trouble with EasyXML

I'm running Windows 8. Installed MMF2 and updated to lastest release.
Downloaded extension packs and installed no problems.
Downloaded and ran ExtentionView. Selected EasyXML, download, and it installed.
I went to the C: drive and verified it was listed in the folder Extensions.

Started MMF2 but it does not appear in the list of extensions.

Any suggestions as to why it is not appearing in MMF2.

Has it been categorized? You can use ExtensionView Manager to organise your extensions, and EasyXML might not be assigned to a category. Try assigning it one (eg. "Data") and try loading MMF2 again.

Yes I did try assigning one. It recommended text so I selected text but still does not appear.

I had to go to an earlier version of the extension because I had the same problem. One version is dated 12/16/06 and the other 12/21/06.

Yes the one list in Extension View is the 12/21/06 version. Nivram where do I download the 12/16/06 version?

One error I have found with the EasyXML (at least this earlier version) is if you click Edit and then click Cancel it crashes MMF2.

That is probably why the 12/21 version came out I'm guessing. Sorry, but I am out of ideas. I don't know why 12/21 doesn't show up in the extension list. As a note, I do have the 12/21 B3 source file.
