    Importing graphics without alpha channels

I draw my graphics in Photoshop and import them into MMF2. Sometimes I'll export gif and sometimes png. It seems random weather or not it's going to automatically add alpha channels into my graphics. I never want them enabled, and I have to disable it, then remove all the colour it adds to the transparent areas. I've got to import a lot of frames, and this is seriously slowing me down. Anyway to disable alpha channels?

It's not random, it's determined on whether Photoshop is saving as a 24-bit (rgb) or 32-bit (rgba) .png. To ensure Photoshop saves a 24-bit png, you need to make sure the bottommost layer is a special background layer. I don't know if there's a specific term for them, but the layer name is always Background written with italic letters. If you double click the layer, it becomes a movable layer with support for alpha transparency and will force the .png to be saved in 32-bit mode, so avoid that. The easiest way to fix it is to convert the layer furthest to the back to a background layer. You'll find this option in Layer->New->Layer From Background...

In other words, MMF2 is 100% correctly importing all the image data, so there's nothing that should be fixed or changed. It's up to the graphics software to produce the right data.

Thanks. I was sure MMF was doing it's job correctly, it's just baffled me from time to time due to my PS exports.
