Problem with Active System Box and Application Alterable String

Please see attached app file.

I create a Active System Box on a Frame.
I then create a Alterable String in the properties of the Active System Box call JOB NUMBER
I then create a Alterable String in the Application properties call JOB NUMBER
I then what to say assign "job number alterable string" of application (a global string) the string from "JOB NUMBER alterable string of the Active System Box"

But I get a syntax error.

Will not do it. See attached mmf2 app.
