    Where is my binary app??

    Hello,

I've been fiddling with this for over an hour now, and I can't figure it out! I have all my provisioning cerificates and what not, I build my app in xcode, if gives me a message that the build was successful. I run the application uploader -- choose "Deliver my app", It shows me my app in the selection list, I choose it, and then it wants me to choose the file, but where the hell is the file???? I went through the entire hard drive and have not found the file it wants! I suppose it's an APP extender file, but where does it put it? I am losing my mind.

Does anyone have any idea??? This is my first submission to the app store using MMF2, my other app was done with GameSalad and it has a service that takes care of that automatically, without xcode, online.

Oh my God.. what Apple hell is this????

I'm not near an Apple computer right now but the .app that you need to zip and send to apple using the aplication loader is inside the folder that your application is inside. If I'm not wrong it's inside the Deliver folder. There you will find your yourgame.app and yourgame.sym. Zip the yourgame.app and use the application loader to send it. (yourgame.app = the name of your game.app). Hope this help!

    Hi,

I'm not seeing any such files. I changed my prefs in xcode to put the build in the same dirrectory as my project, so now I can see the files that it creates. There are 2 folders created: one called Build and another called DeriverData. But none of these contains anything that Application Loader can choose.

I've taken the 2 folders and archived them to a zip. The Application Loader now allows me to select the zip fie, but it tells me an isntant later that it is an invalid build because the wrapper does not end in APP.

    What is that?

In Xcode, go to Product and then Archieve. A new window will pop up and you can select to distribute the archieve.

Thank you Popcorn & Oliver, I was doing exactly that but it would constantly stop at the validation part because it would inform me that there was no one authorized to validate it, or something like that.. It told me I had have permission from the project administrator. Anyhow, I finally figured out MY ERROR! I had used a different Bundle ID when I completed the sumission form on iConnect. This was becaus the clickteam default bundle ID wasn't in the list. But after that I got a new provisioning certificate and distribution certificate, but somewhere along the line some names didn't match and the whole thing went nuts. Then I found a tutorial on the xcode dex forum telling me to change everything in the buid from RELEASE to DEVELOP... bad mistake because again, all my certificates had to be redone.
So, I reset everything back to the way MMF built it, I changed my Bundle ID in the PLIST file, I renewed my certificates (right now, I have like 50 certificates on my keychain.. I have no idea which is which!). After all that, my app validated correctly and the upload went through.

I did, however, get a message from APPLE scolding me that I had Push notification APIs in my code but I didn't use Push notification. They said the review would be done anyways, but for future reference, I should remove them or contact my 3rd pary framework provider to remove them from their build. Aren't they charming? I honestly want to frisbee-launch all my APPLE devices into my pool.

Now I wait to see if they approve the app. If anyone wants to use this app, you're welcome to try the Flash version on my website at : http://www.tomansuini.com/meacuteta-xyloplus.html
It's a virtual mettalophone / xylophone instrument for teaching music using the Orff technique. Ideai for use in a Smartboard in a classroom with students playing along on their iPads. The app will be free.

    Thank again,
    Tom

So great you got it working! Hopefully it will be not so much work the next time! I got that push notification warning too. Nothing to worry about unless you use push notifications
