    I need 2 Hot Spots

    Hi
I have a Car, which is getting shot out of a Cannon at an Angle.
For this process the Hotspot should be at the aproximate center of the Car, so that it apears to fly out of the Cannon Barrel ( see FIG A ).

FIG A, Car getting shot out of the Cannon Barrel at an Angle

However, when the Car hits the ground i need the HotSpot to be at the back Wheel of the Car, since the Car should rotate untill both wheels are on the ground ( see FIG B ).

FIG B, Car rotating until both wheels are on the ground

I can use multiple Animation Frames, but only 1 Animation.

    ...
Any ideas as to how i can achieve this?
All suggestions are welcome, even if they dont meet the criterias.

Well what are you using to actually launch the car? Just shooting? If you did something like creating the car and then having pinball physics on the car, you could just position the car to be offset from the barrel end... then you could just have the hotspot always on the back wheel and only compensate for this when firing the car.

King_Cool - Why not have 2 different versions of the car? One with the hotspot in the centre, the other with the hotspot on the back wheel. When you need to switch, just create the other version at the action point of the first car (ie on the back wheel) and destroy the first car. Copy any Alt Vals you need before destroying it.

Just change the hotspot/action point of the cannon so that when the hotspot of the car is at the back wheel, it creates in the right place still.

Nice, thanks for your input everybody!

I am using 'Create Car at Barrel HotSpot'

    ...
I will only have 1 AnimFrame with HotSpot on the back wheel.
As the Car is created, it will be created with 'Car back wheel HotSpot' against 'Barrel HotSpot'.
Directly after it is created, i will then reposition it so that 'Car center' is against 'Barrel HotSpot'.
( it easy to find the repositioning ofset needed; find the desired center point coordinates of the car ( X Y ), and subtract it from the HotSpot coordinates )

Awww, my solution wasnt quite right.
But i figured it out though.

    ...
ActionPoint should be possitioned at the Center of the Car.
HotSpot should be positioned at the rotation point ( back wheel ).

As the Car is created, the offset of the ActionPoint relative to the HotSpot is stored.
( since im using HotSpot and ActionPoint as referrance coordinates, the Car can be rotated and the offset will still be correct ).
Then the Car is simply repositioned according to the offsets.

If you still need an ActionPoint in another location for the Cars behaviour, you can switch to another Aimation Frame after creation where the Action Point is repositioned.
