.mfa no longer associated with a program & I can't reassociate

I started with mmf academic and quickly bought mmf dev. On my win7 laptop, all sample files would open with mmf, not dev, and my dev had all of the external extentions loaded. I uninstalled mmf, leaving mmf dev in place, however, .mfa's are no longer associated with any program. When I choose to browse to mmf.exe, located "C:\Program Files (x86)\Multimedia Fusion Developer 2\MMF2.exe", it doesn't stick, and nothing opens.

How do I reassociated mfa files with mmf developer?

1) Right-click on the shortcut to Multimedia Fusion
2) Select Run as Administrator

The association will be recreated

You can also right click on a mfa and open with, and select MMF2 Developer.

I did Cyberclic's suggestion, but the association wasn't created, however, when clicking on an mfa afterwards, I was able to choose mmf developer, so it appears running as admin got things going.

That was the frustrating part for me, doing what you said, even browsing out to the executable, would not launch the file.

I'm back in business, thanks you guys. Now I can run programs right from the download on the forums
