What's recommended: subapps or a ton of frames?

I'm going to be merging quite a few programs into one and am curious about the consensus on how to best do that. I can either run subapps or copy/paste a ton of frames into a single program. Any reason to do one over the other? This is for a pc program and the current frame will always be maximized.

Sub-apps could be a little laggy, though I'm not 100% sure.

If you've used global variables, use sub-apps. That way you don't have to go through the mess of renaming everything.

The only downside is that MMF runs your main application and sub-application at the same time, so there is a small performance hit (kinda like running two programs at the same time), but if you make your main application really basic it shouldn't be noticeable.

I've got a program that runs 3 subapps and the main app... all four are quite complex and there's no lag on my end.
